Welcome to AniCue. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the AniCue website at anicue.appand the AniCue Android application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by AniCue ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
01 Description of Service
AniCue is an anime and manga release tracking platform. It allows users to:
- Browse a catalog of anime series and manga titles.
- Follow titles to receive release notifications when new episodes or chapters drop.
- View release schedules, trending charts, and season signals.
- Link external accounts (MyAnimeList, AniList) to import and sync watch lists.
- Receive push notifications on Android for followed titles.
AniCue aggregates publicly available release information from third-party sources including AniList, Consumet, and MangaPlus. We do not host, stream, or provide access to any copyrighted anime or manga content.
02 Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service (16 in the European Economic Area). By using AniCue, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You may browse AniCue without an account. To follow titles, receive notifications, and sync with external services you must create an account using a valid email address or a Google account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@anicue.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
03 Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to access, scrape, or systematically download catalog data without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers against the Service without express permission.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service except where permitted by applicable law.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to any account that violates these guidelines without prior notice.
04 Intellectual Property
Our content
The AniCue name, logo, visual design, source code, and original written content are owned by AniCue and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Third-party content
Anime and manga titles, cover artwork, and episode/chapter data displayed on AniCue are the intellectual property of their respective rights holders (studios, publishers, and distributors). AniCue does not claim ownership of this content. It is sourced from publicly available APIs (AniList, Consumet, MangaPlus) under their respective terms of use.
If you are a rights holder and believe content is being displayed in a manner that infringes your rights, please contact us at hello@anicue.app and we will respond promptly.
Your data
You retain ownership of your personal data (email, watchlist, preferences). By using the Service, you grant AniCue a limited licence to store and process that data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
05 Third-Party Integrations
AniCue allows you to connect your MyAnimeList and AniList accounts. By connecting a third-party service you authorise AniCue to access and sync data from that service on your behalf. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms and privacy policies. AniCue is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those platforms.
If a third-party API changes its terms, becomes unavailable, or revokes our access, features that depend on that API may be reduced or removed without notice.
06 Advertising
The Android version of AniCue displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. These ads help fund the free Service. By using the Android app you consent to the display of ads. AdMob may use your device identifier and usage data to serve personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Android device settings under Google > Ads.
We do not have control over the specific ads displayed. If you encounter an ad that is offensive, misleading, or inappropriate, please report it to us and directly through the ad's feedback mechanism.
07 Push Notifications
If you grant notification permission on Android, AniCue will deliver release alerts for titles you follow. You can withdraw this permission at any time through your device settings or by signing out of the app. Withdrawing permission stops future notifications but does not delete your account or follow list.
08 Service Availability & Modifications
AniCue is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may perform maintenance, updates, or capacity changes that result in temporary downtime.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes but are not obligated to provide advance notice for minor updates or emergency maintenance.
09 Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of release schedules, or non-infringement.
Release schedule data is sourced from third parties and may be inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete. AniCue does not guarantee the correctness of any episode or chapter release date displayed on the platform.
10 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AniCue and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or service interruption, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to AniCue in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater. Because AniCue is currently free of charge, this limit will typically be USD $10.
11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AniCue and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content you submit or transmit through the Service.
12 Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may delete your account from the Settings page or by emailing hello@anicue.app.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will do so.
13 Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us at hello@anicue.app. If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
14 Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify signed-in users via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of them. If you do not agree with changes, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account.
